Erica Eng


Hailing from Oakland, CA – Erica is a fifth-generation Chinese American director based out of Los Angeles. Her film “POISON” won Best SHOUT Film at the Sidewalk Film Festival, while her other works screened at festivals such as the New Orleans Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, and San Francisco International Film Festival.

Erica was handpicked for SHOOT Magazine’s 16th Annual New Director’s Showcase and the Commercial Director’s Diversity Program – a joint fellowship partnered with the Directors Guild of America and the Association of Independent Commercial Producers. Most recently, Erica’s first narrative screenplay “Americanized” placed as a Semi-Finalist in the ScreenCraft Screenplay competition, and the film based on her experiences growing up playing high school basketball is currently on the festival circuit. A visual storyteller, Erica is inspired by her Oakland roots and creates work that reflects the diverse community in which she grew up.
